Sleep Overs & Braids

Topic Number 1:
Sleep Overs

Ever since Christmas Sleep Overs have become THE thing in our household.

Isn't that just funny? (especially knowing that lots of kids out there have to share bedrooms with siblings- as I did- and can only dream of having their own room)

We allow Sleep Overs on Friday and Saturday nights only...even though the girls BEG and BEG and BEG to have them the rest of the week.

This time- we made a "tent" (with a king size sheet) in Ava's room. The girls think it's soo much fun sleeping in their sleeping bags.

Topic Number 2:
BRAIDS

Anybody who knows my girlies will know that they hate having anything in their hair. They like to play with the dozens of pretty bows we have but don't even attempt to get it near their hair!

BUT...check this out...
Mark some how convinced the girlies (how the heck did you do that Mark?) to wear braids in their hair. He did the braiding. Cute job, no?
And the kicker...

The girlies wanted their braids left in overnight and then this morning they wanted them braided again!

Who are you and what have you done with My Annika and Ava?

Ava attempting to braid my hair. Actually- she did a nice job brushing my hair. (I hate photos of me.)Here's are some things Ava is talking about lately:

1) She keeps asking how things are made. Like- she'll ask how food or busses or buildings are made. Not so easy to answer but I try my best (how do you answer something like that?)

2) She's stated that she wants to be a Mommy when she grows up- just like Me. As a matter of fact, her name will be Astrid (because that's what Mommy is named- of course!). She wants to have a purse and a car just like me. Very, very sweet. I told her she'd make a great Mommy- in 20+ years!

Hi Astrid! My son loves sleepovers too...I actually enjoy them too..love to have a house full of kids. I did not read anyones's comments on the white trim versus stained...I personally love white trim...I think it pops against the wall color so much more and lightens a space up. I think it would look lovely in your home! cherrry

I think Ava was easier to convince on the braiding. Then once she had her hair done obviously Annika would forget that she doesn't like that kind of stuff & want her hair braided.
Did you get any photos of them with wavy hair after they take the braids out???
Thanks for the photos!

No...didn't get any photos with wavy hair because it's still braided!

My girls will always sit still for their DAD to do their hair. What is up with that?? The braids are so cute!
And I love their sleepovers. Fun times. Do they actually sleep? Whenever we try that, someone always ends up crying before they fall asleep...and someone ends up waking everyone else up wayyyy too early in the morning!

I forgot to add that HOW SWEET IS THAT of your little girl Ava. She wants to be just like YOU:) That's a very high compliment! (which I can tell you deserve:)
