And now the other...
And now Annika is sick.
She's missing the first field trip of the year (her class is going to a farm). Tomorrow is the class Halloween party. I hope she doesn't have to miss it since she's been talking about it for weeks.
I'm feeling gross but I can't tell if it's just from cleaning up.
At least the carpet steam cleaner is getting a good work out these past two weeks.
UPDATE- Annika is out sick again today. That means she's going to miss the school Halloween party. :( She's watching a movie wearing her black cat costume.

Hope she's feeling better!
I love your pumpkin header - its too cute :)
Thank you for stopping by yesterday and showing this SITSta some comment love! I'll be back soon!
Awwwww poor thing....hope she gets better quickly!
I remember one year Lexi was sick for her Valentine's Party....she was NOT a happy camper about that. I did get to go to the school and pick up her valentines and candy and get well cards from her classmates so that helped...a little bit.
Sorry she's under the weather! We had that yuck last week. Thanks for your ? I do not shop once a month. I tend to do a bog shop once a month, and then 3 smaller shops each week, as we eat a lot of produce and yogurt! Won't last a month! Come by anytime you need a frugal meal idea!

Hi! Saw your comment below mine on SITS and wanted to come by to visit. So hope your little one is feeling better soon.
The ickies are traveling early this year.
Astrid...
pumpkin spice coffee ...
both international delights and coffeemate sell pumpkin spice creamer - just add it to your coffee (after brewed of course) and enjoy! It's extremely yummy and much cheaper than starbucks pumpkin spice latte.
I hope your little one is feeling better soon. I have a sick one today too.
So sorry she missed the field trip and party too :( Hope she's feeling better real soon.
Hope & pray your little one & you are feeling better very, very soon! :)
Thanks for your comment on family budget meetings! I think it's great that you're starting early teaching your kids financial responsibility!! As far as your kids' ages: during the meeting, I'd stick with the very basics. Tell them that Daddy/Mommy has a job (a blessing) that gives money for their hard work. This $ pays for the house, clothes, and food. Tell them that everyone has to be responsible with $$. They can help by turning off lights when they leave a room, and by not being upset when they ask for something at a store and are told "No". They would probably love to vote on fun, free things to do! Little ones love to be "helpers", and let them feel a sense of pride in helping the family! I personally don't do allowances with my kids yet (ages 6&7) but will when they're a little older. Right now, we have them save some, spend some, and tithe some of $$ they are given. I don't think that $$ should be given as a reward for everyday chores...that's just part of family responsibility. But if they do "chores" that go above the norm, then a $$ reward let's them see the value of hard work! :) (This is just my personal opinion, of course!)
I hope this answers some of your questions! :) I really hope that you're all feeling much better soon!
Blessings, Stacey
I used 15 oz diced tomato and 6 or 8 oz tomato sauce. I did not soak or cook the beans. It was an experiment because everything I'd read said to do that first. I was trying the lazy woman's way and it worked! Beans turned out just fine. I just added a little extra water!

I'm so sorry to hear Annika is sick! The poor little dear! I bet she made quite the sad little picture watching that movie in her costume! Life can be so unfair!!!
