It works! It works! It works!
Mark finished building his log splitter on Saturday morning and by that afternoon he was splitting logs with it! It was fun watching it work...and hear the logs go Snap! Crackle! Pop! I'll post photos of it and perhaps a video later.
I think it's too cool! On Sunday we doubled our supply of firewood. (we still do hand chopping...but the splitter makes it sooo much easier to get the work done).

Hey, I love how far his hands are from the business end of that thing while it's working. It's nothing like the danger-and-devastation machine we was on "Dirty Jobs" for doing commercial log splitting :-)
Very impressive. This may be a blog about a lopsided house (3 girls, 1 guy), but the log splitter definitely raises the bar for any testosterone-minder blogger!
