Annika is finished with Kindergarten!
Or perhaps better titled....
"Mommy crying like a baby at her eldest daughter's Kindergarten graduation."
I told myself not to cry. Apparently I don't listen very well. Even to myself.
Annika is on the bottom row, on the right side.
Hooray!
After the graduation ceremony all the kids plus one parent from each family (Mark took the day off to go with Annika) boarded a cushy bus and visited a fun hands-on, kid-friendly museum in Bettendorf, IA -the Family Museum (which, by the way, is a two-hour drive one-way).

It's been a truly amazing ride -both fun and sometimes stressful this year. I'm grateful to Annika's teacher for making this year a blast for all of us. Thank you!
I'm happy that we all got to make new friends.
Good bye Kindergarten! Hello First Grade...we hope we're ready for you by the time fall comes around!
Here's something funny- Annika's first and last lunch of the school year were the same- we had awesome grilled salmon with rice & nori and edamame for dinner last night and Annika wanted that for lunch today. I remember that was also the first lunch I packed for her.

Gosh, she's getting bigger and more beautiful every time I look at her. I miss both of them very very much :-(
....unbelievable!! what a nice ceremony - I cannot remember attending ceremonies like this... :)
What a beautiful girl you have. We're so glad to have met you all! I love how your girls are not picky eaters...and what wonderful meals you make. I can't pronounce half of that lunch, let alone guess what it is! But it sounds good! LOL
(That doesn't say very much for my intelligence, now does it?)
What a beautiful girl! Congrats to your big first grader! Don't feel bad, I cried when both my girls had their kindergarten graduation, it's a normal mom thing to do. :) Our last day of school was today, now I have 2nd and 3rd graders, so hard to believe.

Woo hoo! What a fun way to celebrate.
My children are grown now, in their twenties and early thirties. Pictures are nice but the thing I am glad I did was to write down their cute sayings. So precious now!
