Snippets from our Weekend
Grandma and Grandpa came for a visit! Woo Hoo! Naturally the Girlies were super excited to see their Grandparents.
Mark had a concert on Sunday (he sings in a local chorus...I can NOT sing in case you're wondering).
Girlies playing one of their all-time favorite games- Cranium Hullabaloo.
Anybody recognize that dress? That's the dress I made for Annika last summer...my first attempt at following a pattern (I've only made one quilt before this dress). Annika cried when I made her try it on. I felt pretty bad about my lousy attempt at sewing that I haven't tried again. However, Ava picked out this dress to wear on Sunday and it looked really cute! Perhaps I'll try again...and again...and again (and maybe I'll finally figure out how to decipher patterns!).
Craziness abounds! We got several inches on Saturday night. Nutso. The Girlies made the most of it- they went outside and made a cute snowman. Charcoal eyes, carrot nose and a hat. Naturally it has all melted away...

Visits with Grandma and Grandpa are just wonderful! I can't believe you guys got a couple inches of snow. Absolutely crazy!!!! JK was asking about snowmen today...guess he still wants snow too!
Your girls are really good sports about snow. My kids were really MAD when it started snowing. "I thought it was SPRING!" they said.
But at least it thawed and now we can stomp around in our boots, right?
Grandma & Grandpa time is special time!
By the way, THANK YOU for having us over for a playdate. Wynne and I had a wonderful time!!
The dress you made looks adorable on Ava! You should definitely keep going with sewing - you seem to have a knack for it if your first-ever attempt turned out not just wearable, but CUTE!
You are so lucky to have gotten snow. We had to drive 45 minutes north to find enough snow to make a snowman. Oh well, that bodes well for your visit, doesn't it?
I just saw Beth's comment. I have to look at Ava's dress. Bravo on sewing clothes!!!!
Looks like a great weekend!
Ditto Beth about the dress. It's extremely sweet! Also, I think that in that last picture, Ava looks quite a lot like her Grandma!
I think your dress looks really cute, you should definitely do some more sewing. I'm not that great either, but I keep practicing. :) [found you through SITS]
Grandparents are awesome! I wish our were closer. Looks like a fun full weekend!
