My Garden Path
These are the friendly flowers that would greet you as you make your way to my front door. Also picture anywhere from one to six (sometimes more!) hummingbirds zooming passed your head. Sometimes you can only hear (not see) them buzzing passed you.
Right now the black-eye susans are in full bloom. The sunflowers are putting on a show. I can't believe how tall some of them are! The coleus still look nice but many of the flowers are winding down slowly for fall.
Sadly, this wasn't my best year for window boxes. I had intended to put edible plants in them but I didn't get them started in time. I really want to see what a box of colorful rainbow Swiss chard will look like. They're almost as pretty as a flower! I did put several perennials in my boxes but once they're finished blooming- they're done for the year. However, I did put two kinds of mint in my window boxes...and I've made mint juleps with them! Ahhhh...refreshing!

WOw! This is so pretty! I can't wait to see it in person (tomorrow morning, since it'll be dark by the time we get there tonight).
..this is what I call a garden path!!!
..it is beautiful!
