COUSINS!

We had a blast this past weekend! Beth, Ray, Lily, Gregory and little Henry were here for a visit. It was kind of like having a Children's Olympics going on in my very own home... let's see...there was the Swinging competition, the Trampoline Jumping competition, the Sandbox & Sand Tossing competition, the Playing in the Sprinkler competition, the Picking Flowers competition and OH! my not-so-favorite Picking Tomato Hornworms off my Tomatoes competition (Beth took the Gold Medal in that yicky competition).

Beautiful portrait of Beth & Ray's family + one extra girl (okay...so Annika is part of our family)

Here is a random smattering of the Olympic Events happening in my household this past weekend.

Henry takes the Gold Medal in Blueberry Pancake Eating contest...or the Messiest Baby at Breakfast

The older girls loved playing with Henry. Unfortunately, I think Annika treated him more like a giant doll than a human...she needed supervision!Olympic swinging competition. Notice Ava looking at the baby swing? She really wanted to be the one in the baby swing. Sharing is so hard!Sandbox and Sand Tossing competition on my deck. Rub a dub, dub...four kids in the sand tub!Trampoline jumping competition. Not to worry...we have very strict rules regarding jumping on the trampoline.

We also picked queen anne's lace and tried dying the white flowers with red and blue food coloring. The kids also played in caterpillar sprinkler...but Beth and I weren't here for that...we managed to sneak out of the house and go to a scrapbooking session. Sans kids! Yippee!!!!

Oh, and the tomato hornworm competition? Beth found- I think- about a dozen of the nasty hornworms on my tomatoes! I'll be lucky if my tomatoes survive.
