Me Knitting?
Okay...I decided to jump on the
Knitting Bandwagon
and try my hand at knitting. I admit it's not my first attempt at knitting but it's been a L.O.N.G. time since I have done any knitting (like 12 years!).
But you know...Blogland if full of all sorts of cool craft projects- including knitting. How could I resist trying again?
The best thing is that my lovely sister-in-law (and new Mommy to Miles) showed me how to knit over the Christmas break with out strangling my poor fingers (and turning them an interesting shade of purple).
This scarf is just one skein of wool (that's all I had) and since it's so short it's now Ava's scarf.
I seriously can't wait to try again (here's hoping that I can figure out how to get started) and practice doing different patterns.

Here's the last thing I knitted (oh...about 12 years ago). A cable knit scarf...for Mark. It took forever and it took my fingers a long, long time to forgive me.

I just read the first book in the "Twilight" series. I admit I spent the ENTIRE day reading (when I should have perhaps worked on house work, laundry, scrapbooking, jogging...you name it). It was highly amusing but in all honesty it seemed more like a teen romance novel with vampires. I can't wait to read the next one! (truly silly, I know. I do like a cheap thrill!)
Oh...and I still haven't sent out Christmas cards! Oops! Maybe I'll send out Valentine's Day cards or Easter cards instead.
Anybody else just amazed at how Christmas time just seems to feel like a freight train slamming into a brick wall? It's hurry, hurry, hurry...craft projects & baking galore...get everything done for the Big Day ..............................and then nothing.

More like a teen romance novel with vampires ... than what? Isn't that what it's supposed to be? I admit that I have not read it, but that is definitely the impression I got.
...Also, Ava looks fantastic in that lovely scarf!
Just stopping by from SITS to say goodmorning ! BTW ~ great job on the scarf !
Great job on the scarves! I'm impressed.
Oh yeah, Twilight. I need to read them. You aren't the only one neglecting everything to read the series. I have a friend here who RAVES about the books and won't put them down for anything.
Yay for knitting. Mark's scarf is amazing! It's hard to believe you quit after creating that masterpiece. Welcome back to the world of yarn junkies.

LOL!
you know, those Twilight books are surprisingly addicting. My freshmen students talk about them endlessly, so I decided to read them.
I can't take them to work for my lunchtime reading or I get ABSOLUTELY nothing done! And it's not like it's astoundingly amazing writing, either, but it just sucks me right in....
Nice to meet you SITSta.
