just Ava
Two weekends ago we had a family over and they have an eight-month old baby girl (Baby Cheeks). We dusted off our exersaucer for sweet Baby Cheeks to sit and play in.
Ava was jealous.
Even though she's W-A-Y too big for it she wanted to be in it.
So, after company left she's been playing with it ever since. She can climb in and out of it by herself.
Silly Ava!

Since I'm now the proud owner of a Much Nicer Camera (Canon Digital Rebel XS) I've been letting the girls (in particular Ava) play with the Super Old Camera (our original Canon elph whose battery life is a few minutes). So far none of her photos are un-blurry. She doesn't want to believe me when I tell her you have to hold the camera steady when you take photos.

I'm trying to capture Ava's funny and interesting facial and body movement gestures. She just has the funniest expressions. I think she's mimicking grown-up gestures but it looks very cute when she does it. (like speaking emphatically with her hands on her hips and her head cocked side-ways) It's nearly impossible to capture these gestures because she stops instantly when I get the camera out.

Too cute! I wish I could just strap my camera to my head and take pictures whenever those perfect situations arise. Using a hand held trigger or telekinesis or something.
Lo loves to down down into the basement with us whenever we venture down there for something but now we've kind of had to ban her from it because she what's to drag out all her baby toys when she sees them!
Ava IS very expressive, I've noticed! Don't you hate how they hide it from posterity? We try to hard to capture those moments...
I have a little 2-year-old over at our house who also likes to put her hands on her hips when she expresses herself. I love it now, but I'm thinking it will not be very cute in about 5 years...

I hope you're having a lovely week with your family!!
Good job capturing that precious look on Ava! Is your new camera amazingly fast?
