Platteville Children's Choir All-Day-Tour of Local Schools
Some of you might know this already- Annika (my seven-year old, second-grader) sings with the Apprentice Singers in the Platteville Children's Choir (PCC). The Apprentice Singers are one of three groups in the PCC. They're the youngest and least experienced of the three groups. The kids do have to audition in order to get into the groups (although once they're in they don't have to re-audition unless they're trying to move up to the next group).
Yesterday (April 27th) the three groups got to do an all day tour of several of the local elementary schools. Although it's called the Platteville Children's Choir the choir actually has members from eighteen different communities (the majority are from Platteville). Sadly, this year's all-day school tour didn't include Annika's elementary school. I'm sure she would have loved to sing for her friends!
The first school on the all-day school tour- St. Mary's in Platteville
crossing my fingers & hoping these videos play!
After each of the groups performed two songs each all three groups came on stage to sing one fun song together (I'm trying to upload the video for that one...my stinky internet isn't letting me though!). I do think that there were about twice as many kids on stage singing the last song than were sitting in the audience!

Wonderful! Thanks for posting the videos! Tell Annika that Miles really liked "Siyahamba." He wanted to dance and hear it again. :)
What a great experience for Annika!
