Working for Peanuts
I got this awesome idea from a good friend of mine - make your own Peanut Butter! I bought roasted unsalted peanuts in bulk at the grocery store. And then I put my girls to work! At least most of them got into the bowl...many "disappeared" before they got into the bowl.
After all that shelling and munching we ended up with about 2 cups of shelled peanuts.
After spending lots of time patiently shelling the peanuts we used my awesome food processor to grind the nuts into a paste. No I didn't use any oil, salt or sugar...I probably should have though. The girls don't like loud noises, can you tell?
For all that work and all those peanuts we ended up with ONE cup of peanut butter. It doesn't taste like the store bought pb so the girls didn't think it was very good. (I think if I added salt and oil they'd like it better). Now I'm trying to decide what to make with it. PB Brownies? PB cookies? Any ideas?

HI!
Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog!
Your family is so cute!
I got my Swedish fish at Target, but I have also seen them at Ikea and also online at Amazon.com.
Hope this helps!
