She Did It!

Is that the face of a Happy Girl or what?

Why is Annika so happy?

Do you remember how Annika has been asking for an Ipod since forever? (according to her)  Do you remember the deal we struck with her to enable her to work and save up for one?

She did it!

She finally earned enough money doing jobs for us (and saving it) to buy a slightly used GREEN Ipod Nano (one of the previous models)!  She was so excited to finally reach her goal (we bought it on ebay) that I let her take it in on the last day of school (last Friday) to show to her classmates and teacher.

Way to go, Annika!  We knew you could do it!


Want to know what jobs she did to earn money?  She put away the clean dishes from the dishwasher every morning, she washed dishes in the evening and she helped me weed the pumpkin patch (she really did help me weed- it was so nice to have that help!).  Those jobs were completed in addition to her normal, every day chores.  Also, they had to be completed well in a timely fashion.
