Ava's Beautiful New Bed
Lots of excitement around these parts...
We're having a snow day due to a wonderful blizzard that slammed our area yesterday and last night. The girls are having fun : they're getting a taste of homeschooling with lots of play time outside.
Additionally, we finished painting Ava's new bed....
and now it's in her room!
Lots of excitement happening last night as Daddy was putting together the bed!

Grandpa made the bed over Christmas break. We added the finish trim (it's got a leaf pattern on it that you really can't see in the photos) and primed and painted the pieces.
Thank you Grandpa for this lovely bed! Ava just about jumped out of her skin when she saw Daddy installing the bed in her room last night. :-)
The bed plans came from the Ana-White DIY Furniture website. You can find the plans for this bed >here<. Thanks Ana for providing the plans and instructions for us to use! (the super cool thing is that she lives in Alaska- my home state!) I fell in love with the curves this bed has.
I still plan on finding some finials to put on top of the bed (as shown in the plans) AND I'd like to do some tole painting (haven't decided on a pattern).
