Annika::The Artist

Annika is turning into quite the artist. Lately she's been working on sculptures but usually she's drawing and coloring. Isn't that a pretty dress that Grandma brought home from Spain? (PS this was on a day when Annika stayed home from school because of a tummy issue...fortunately it wasn't an all day problem)

Ahhhhhhhh....Look: a Baby Dinosaur!
Annika's turtle... Annika taking a photo of her artwork.

An Ava photo. She just LOOOOOVES this dress Oma sent her for her birthday. Oh! I totally forgot to mention that Ava can now say her "Rs". For the longest time she couldn't say rrr...she'd roll her r's (similar to Spanish r's). She just learned how to say her rrrs properly...just in time for her fourth birthday!
Annika hard at work with her latest creation....not sure what she called it. I call it a Snowman's Garden. She even "planted" flowers (she stuck dried flowers in the snow in certain areas). This just in...she called a Snowman's Campsite.

Eating lunch in the "garden". Annika built a short wall around the seating area with an opening/entrance next to the snowman. The perfect spot for a hot dog & lemonade.

The Umbrella Sculpture.

One last look at our bright, sunny, happy day....

We had a wonderful day yesterday. It was sunny and warm (38F is warm!!!). Mark and I chopped & stacked wood, we took down our Christmas lights (finally!), we trimmed our fruit trees, we changed out the annoying light fixture above the garage and we filled the bird feeders. The girls helped us by entertaining themselves.

Today is Annika's Spring Break (at least that's I think why she has today off from school). One day of spring break. I don't think we had spring break when I was in elementary school. Depending on how the girls behave this morning I'll take them to an indoor play gym called Monkey Business.

Right now both girls are working on a Leprechaun Trap for St. Patrick's Day. :) (and yes, I'm skipping my Spinning class at the YMCA...I promise I'll make it up later today!)

The Snowman Campsite with Umbrella Sculpture has got to be my favorite. What a clever creature Annika is!

How cute, I love the snowmen and the colorful umbrellas!! And a Leprechaun trap that sounds interesting! I hope they catch the pot of gold too!

I am amazed at all the snow and the really wonderful snowmen; Annika is indeed a clever artist and I bet Ava is too :)
What a wonderful way to eat hot dogs!!!
