Sorry it's been so long....but we just got back from the most awesome incredible fantastic trip to Alaska!
I've got around 1400 photos to sort through....and I don't think I took enough. How's that for crazy?
There's absolutely now way any of my photos will do Alaska's majestic beauty justice but I'll give it a try.
We crammed a lot into our two week stay there....so much that I think it'll take me a couple of weeks to post photos!
School started yesterday. We had ONE day to recover from our journey. Thankfully the long set of flights home exhausted us and strangely enough eased our way back into our own time zone (three hour time change for us).
Just driving down the highway....how's this for a view?
Sleeping Lady (Mt. Susitna) in full glory. There's a neat story regarding Sleeping Lady. That big sprawling city is Anchorage. (taken on our way down from Glen Alps. I swear I could live in Glen Alps- at least during the summer months!).

I am SO JEALOUS. We are going to have to make sure we get there next summer, instead of just talking about it.

Funny...I feel more at home there than I do here. I love it here too....it's just that Alaska is my home. And this trip proved it to me.
Ohhhhhhhhh it's so pretty. It just wrenches at me every time I see pictures from Alaska. Do you think any of us will ever really recover from not living there anymore?

It was great seeing you for a short time this morning. I think Ava grew in maturity since we last saw her...she was speaking so eloquently, describing her trip and using big words! Delightful!
