In Memory of our Portable DVD Player.

Our portable DVD player which has been with us through bad times and good ones too has just passed away. Yes- it's true. (sniff, sniff)
Dear little player...why did you have to kick the bucket on a two hour drive home in blowing snow conditions when you could have kept the girlies happily occupied? I really could have used you today. At least I got to listen to the girlies sing songs and try some magic to bring you back to life. (along with a bit of whining and crying) We tried our best.
And now you're gone.
You've been with us on three trips to Austria and on numerous road trips across the country- Michigan, Washington state, Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma and Virginia. You've served us well sweet player. I'm sad to see you go.
And now you're getting a new life...as the girlies' "computer". At least your existence won't be in vain.
Sigh....
Anybody know where I can get a good deal on a portable DVD player?
It's always sad when electronics pass on...but I'm glad the girls get to have their own "computer" now...
IT DOESN'T MATTER IF IT'S A GOOD DEAL OR NOT!!!!! GO- RUN -TO WALMART AND GET ANOTHER ONE RIGHT NOWWW!!!
My momma says that it is "cheating" to use one of these contraptions on road trips. Instead, we should sing, play games and do origami or something. I say, if it's cheating, SIGN ME UP! I mourn with you my dears.
Emily- Ha ha ha! I went on very long car trips with our family growing up and we didn't have the portable DVD player (or anything) and we managed too. But at least Alaska has gorgeous scenery to look at (I'm not knocking the other states...hee hee). How many cows and horses can I make the girls count???? "look girls- there's another barn!"
