Weekend Update

Another crazy fun weekend!

Guess where my camera was? Just guess! Sitting safely on my desk next to my computer. Great place if you don't want to take photos with it!

Friday- swimming at the pool and watched a family friendly & fun movie put on by our local tiny postage-stamp sized library. It was an outdoor viewing and many community members & friends came out to watch the movie. Great fun! They offered free popcorn and ice cream. Ava wanted to talk to her friend Wynne the entire time. Hey...I think I saw a shooting star! ....and wasn't that a bat?

Saturday- spent the morning helping friends with a small landscaping project....and then we went on a bike ride...toting the girlies in a bike trailer. All 80lbs! Mark and I traded off pulling the trailer. Ugh...Annika is learning to ride her training wheel free bike. She's pretty nervous about it. Managed to rescue a couple of baby robins whose nest fell out of a tree. We certainly deserved the ice cream scoop we got afterwards!

Sunday- I'm now the proud owner of my first ever garbage disposal. Woo hoo! I'm moving up in the world. LOL! We finally got to try out donuts from Donut Boy. Mark said it reminded him of the Simpsons and Lard Lad (?). I've driven past this donut place for the past eight years and thought it was time to stop and smell the donuts. Note for next time: get there earlier in the morning to get warm donuts.

Something random I learned this weekend: if you pound chicken breasts with a meat tenderizer they'll come off the grill super tender instead of being the dry chicken we usually eat.
